Sheraton DTLA

The Sheraton Hotel underwent a $75 million redesign, a complete reimagining of every floor and room that ultimately became the Sheraton Grand Los Angeles you see today. As a Senior Designer and Project Manager at McCartan, I played a key role in leading this transformation—guiding the first Sheraton property to debut the brand’s new North American rebranding.

This flagship project opened in 2015 with 496 guestrooms and was part of a full-block development that also included an office tower, shopping mall, and parking structure. Working closely with Marriott’s design team, I oversaw the comprehensive redesign of both guestrooms and public spaces, from custom furniture and lighting to finishes, bespoke wallpaper, bathrooms, the lobby, amenity areas, and the pool lounge.

Situated in the heart of DTLA’s Financial District, the reimagined Sheraton Grand Los Angeles now reflects elevated contemporary luxury—blending refined comfort with modern urban sophistication—enhanced by the signature dining experience at District Kitchen & Bar.
